Breon Gorman (born August 20 or 30, 1954) is an American stage, film and television actress, best known for her portrayal of "Tess Saxton" in her debut TV series For Richer, for Poorer (originally Lovers and Friends)

Life and career

Breon Gorman was born on August 30, 1954, in Washington, D.C.

She made her acting debut in 1977, portraying the character of "Tess Saxton," the younger daughter of the Saxton family in the soap opera For Richer, for Poorer (originally named Lovers and Friends). She took over the role from the original cast member Vicky Dawson.

Three years later, in 1980, she landed the recurring role of "Allison" in six episodes of the TV series Search for Tomorrow. 1981 saw her feature film debut in the role of "Nettie Dedham" in director John Irvin's horror/thriller Ghost Story, starring Alice KrigeFred Astaire, and Craig Wasson.

In 1989, Gorman was seen in one of the primary characters, "Jean Johnson," in Jeff Blyth's adventure film Cheetah.

Over the following years, Gorman appeared in a wide range of films and television series, most notably As the World Turns (1988-1990), A Dangerous Woman (1993, with Paul DooleyRichard RiehleWarren Munson, and Brad Blaisdell), Star Trek: Insurrection (1998), Boston Public (2003), ER (2006), Numb3rs (2007), and NBC's Parks and Recreation (2011).

Gorman was last seen on the silver screen in 2015 as "Sandra McCormack" in "State of the Union" episode of the TV series Murder in the First.

Personal life

Gorman is married to actor Timothy Landfield since 1990. The couple has two children.
