Biography

Blaz Puljic (born (1972-02-02)2 February 1972) is a retired Slovenian male artistic gymnast. During his long gymnastics career, which spanned 37 years, he won multiple national titles in Yugoslavia and then Slovenia. In 1993, he won a full academic scholarship to attend the University of New Mexico, where he earned several All-American awards and graduated Cum Laude in Foreign Languages in 1996. Subsequently he secured an NCAA post-graduate scholarship to Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management, where he obtained his Masters in Business Administration. He also represented Slovenia at the world stage by competing in 7 World Championships (between 1989 and 2006), World University Games, World Cup events, European Championships and other international competitions. In 2000 he moved to Australia to work on the Sydney Olympic Games. He is now a dual Slovenian/Australian citizen and resides with his wife and two sons in Perth, Western Australia where he is employed as a management consultant. He is still actively participating in gymnastics and has won every Australian Masters Games since 2011.
