Biography

Bijan Allipour (born 27 March 1949, Masjed Soleyman, Iran) is an Iranian business executive. He is the current chairman and CEO of National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). Allipour is also a current member of the board of directors in National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). He succeeded Hamid Bovard in 2014. Allipour was senior executive vice president of NISOC, That he joined in 1979.
He holds a master's degree of Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Oklahoma. Among other positions, Alipour used to have in NISOC are, Head of Engineering and Construction Department of NISOC, CEO of Transportation and Logistics Oil Services Company (Subsidiary of NISOC) and Head of Construction and Building department. Prior to this, he used to be the advisor to Khuzestan's Governor in civil projects.
Currently, National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) is the largest Iranian oil company and produces about 3 million barrels of oil per day. NISOC output accounts for nearly 83% of total crude production.
