Bernhard Ignaz Martinitz was the president of the Bohemian court of appeals, chief judge of the land, chancellor, and the Grand Burgrave of Bohemia.

He was in correspondence with Athanasius Kircher. He was one of several persons involved with the Voynich Manuscript.

Career

He studied in Prague and Graz.
