Biography
Bashir Badu is the current Chairman of Uganda Cricket Association. He was elected as the new chairman of the UCA on 17 February 2017. Bashir Badu also served as the Vice Chairman of Uganda Cricket Association.
Cricket Administrator
In 2007, Badu served as the Uganda Cricket Association Secretary and he also served as the Chief Executing Officer (CEO) of the Uganda Cricket Association.
In 2009, Bashir served as the manager of the Uganda national cricket team.
Bashir Badu was previously Vice Chairman on the board that was led by Richard Mwami. On 17 February 2017, Bashir Badu defeated rival Paul Nsibuka 9-7 in a three-man race. Bashir was elected as the new chairman of Uganda Cricket Association as the elective assembly announced in a new board. In March 2019, Badu defeated Nsibuka to retain his UCA Chairman seat.
