Barry Urban (born 10 December 1968) is an Australian politician. He has been a Labor member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since the 2017 state election, representing Darling Range.
Urban was born in England, and joined the British Army after leaving school. He served in Northern Ireland, Cyprus and Namibia, and in 1989 joined the police. He worked as a detective, and later as a war crimes investigator in Bosnia. He relocated to Western Australia around 2000 and worked construction until joining the WA police force in 2005. He also served on Serpentine-Jarrahdale Shire Council.
