Biography
Awais Shaukat is a Lahore based animation director and illustrator. He is a founder of Awartsy and PakistaniArt.
Early life and education
Awais was born on June 11, 2004, in Bhawana, Pakistan, to Haji Shaukat Ali Lohar, who is a politician and runs a business making agricultural machinery. Awais has two older brothers, Rafhan and Usman Shaukat, a younger brother, Qais Shaukat, and two sisters. He attended Punjab International Public High School in Bhawana for his early education and later went to Chenab College Jhang for high school.
In late 2022, Awais moved to Lahore and enrolled in the National College of Arts to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Career
In 2020, Awais started an instagram community for digital artist from Pakistan, PakistaniArt. After three years, he announced to launch it as a first art magazine distributed in Pakistan.
In 2024, Awais co-founder a 2D animation studio, Awartsy with brother, Rafhan Shaukat, and started work on his first short film project, Under The Blaze.
Personal life
As 2022 Awais lives in Lahore with his elder brother Rafhan and his cousin Fakhir Ali. He is a Muslim.
