Biography
Ats Purje (born 3 August 1985) is an Estonian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Finnish Veikkausliiga club KuPS and the Estonia national football team.
Club career
Levadia
Purje made his Meistriliiga debut for Levadia in 2003. He won his first Meistriliiga title in the 2004 season, and two more in 2006 and 2007.
Inter Turku
On 27 December 2007, Purje signed a two-year contract with Finnish Veikkausliiga club Inter Turku. He made his debut in the Veikkausliiga on 27 April 2008, against RoPS, and scored a goal in their 3–1 win. Purje won his first 2008 Veikkausliiga season with the club.
AEP Paphos
On 1 June 2010, Purje signed a one-year deal with Cypriot club AEP Paphos, with an option to extend it for another year. He made Cypriot First Division debut on 29 August 2010, and scored in a 1–2 defeat against Ethnikos Achna.
Ethnikos Achna
On 8 June 2011, Purje signed for Ethnikos Achna.
KuPS
On 3 April 2012, Purje signed for Finnish side KuPS. He was the team's top goalscorer in 2012 and 2014 seasons.
Nõmme Kalju
On 9 February 2015, Purje signed a three-year contract with Nõmme Kalju in Estonia. He led the team in scoring in 2015 and 2016 seasons.
KuPS
In December 2016, Purje returned to KuPS with one-year contract.
International career
Purje made his debut for the Estonia national football team on 11 October 2006, in a UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying match against Russia. He scored his first goal for Estonia on 20 August 2008, in a 2–1 friendly home win against Malta.
