Biography
To the world, Ashish Raut is a 17 year old social entrepreneur. His ‘Folding Toilet’ that he created is changing the lives of thousands of people in slum and rural areas across the world.
In 2015, when Ashish Raut saw thousands of people who lives in slum areas going for open defecation, he felt to do something for these peoples. His innovation journey started when he found that open defecation is not only India’s but a global problem . He wanted to make a toilet which is cheaper and which takes very low space due to which poor people can get benefit of it .He made a prototype that failed terribly. Thereafter, he used different materials and came up with new models of Folding toilet. He had no other choice except to ask for a few volunteers from people that what they feels about this idea and innovation . It took him 3 years to find the right material and another 2 years to come up with a way to process it. The result was an easy-to-use Toilet Unit which is Cheaper & Low Space Consuming . As compared to existing solutions available in the market, Ashish's prototype came at just ₹ 12,000. As a result, he invented Worlds First Folding Toilet with so many benefits .
This Innovation Received The Presidential National Inspire Award 2019 By Ministry Of Science And Technology ][ Department Of Science And Technology & National Innovation Foundation – Indian Government .
Participated In The Prestigious Festival Of Innovation And Entrepreneurship Held At Gandhi Nagar , Gujarat In 2019 where President of India Hon.Shri.Ramnath ji Kovind Felicitated him .
His Social Innovation made a big impact on global audience and he was congratulated by many Professors , Innovators & Scientists Globally …
