Anne Kirkpatrick is the Chief of the Oakland Police Department. Kirkpatrick was appointed Chief by Mayor Libby Schaaf on January 4, 2017. She was the former police chief in the city of Spokane, Washington and was leading organizational development inside the Chicago Police Department. She was sworn in as Oakland police chief on February 27, 2017.
