Biography

Andreas Weigand (born September 29, 1945) is an American sprint canoer who competed from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s. Competing in three Summer Olympics, he earned his best finish of sixth in the C-2 1000 m event at Munich in 1972.

His older brother, Peter Weigand (July 26, 1941 – March 18, 2011) was also a sprint canoer who competed in the late 1960s. He was eliminated in the repechage round of the K-2 1000 m event at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.
