Biography
Professor Amat al-Razzak Hammed is the Minister for social affairs of Yemen. She has proposed adoption of a government policy to punish fathers who force their daughters into young marriages. However this can be controversial as the prophet Muhammad married a young girl, and promoting contradictory laws could cause social tensions in an Islamic state such as Yemen.
