Biography

The Honourable Alexander Hume-Campbell KC (15 February 1708 – 19 July 1760), was a Scottish nobleman and politician.
The son of Alexander Hume-Campbell, 2nd Earl of Marchmont, he entered parliament in 1734 for Berwickshire at the same time as his twin brother Lord Polwarth was elected for Berwick-upon-Tweed. He also held office as Lord Clerk Register of Scotland.
