Biography
Alessio Deledda (born 10 December 1994) is an Italian racing driver, scheduled to compete in the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship for Campos Racing.
Career
Deledda did not start like most racing drivers in karting. Among other things, he participated in the Italian Superstock 600 championship in 2017. After no successes, he switched to auto racing in 2018 and made his Formula 4 debut in the Italian F4 Championship, where he participated in the entire season for the team Technorace. He had a difficult debut season and scored no points. With a seventeenth place at Autodromo Nazionale Monza as his best result, he finished in 40th place in the championship. He finished in the top 10 several times in the rookie championship, in which he was 16th in the final classification with 23 points.
In 2019, Deledda started the season in the winter championship of the Euroformula Open Championship, where he drove for the team Campos Racing. The championship took place entirely at Circuit Paul Ricard, and Deledda finished the races in eighth and ninth place. Subsequently, he made the switch to the new FIA Formula 3 Championship, in which he will also drive for Campos.
