Alessio Bidoli (born August 8, 1986 in Milan) is an Italian violinist.

Biography

He started studying the violin at seven. In July 2006 he graduated cum laude from Milan's Conservatorio "G. Verdi" under the guidance of Gigino Maestri. He then perfected his studies by attending the Haute Ecole de Musique at Conservatoire de Lausanne in Switzerland, at Mozarteum Salzburg with Pierre Amoyal, at Accademia Chigiana of Siena with Salvatore Accardo and at the Imola International Academy with Pavel Berman and Oleksandr Semchuk.

Recordings

  • In 2013, Alessio Bidoli recorded a CD with Bruno Canino for Sony Classical label with works by Antonio Bazzini and Camillo Sivori, "Verdi Fantasias".
  • In 2016 he recorded with Bruno Canino a CD for Sony Classical with title "Italian Soul" and works by Goffredo Petrassi, Alfredo Casella e Gianfrancesco Malipiero;
  • In 2017 he recorded with Bruno Canino a CD for Warner Classics with works by Francis Poulenc, Igor Stravinskij, Maurice Ravel and Sergei Prokofiev.
