Akido (stylized as aKido) is the pseudonym of Canadian electronic rock musician and composer Kim Gaboury. Gaboury assembles a live band to tour with; this live component is generally considered a separate entity from aKido in the recording studio.
As of 23 September 2007, according to The R3-30, the aKido song Dancing in Chains was the third-most popular indie song in Canada.
In January 2011, Gamechanger was nominated for the Electronica Album category for The 10th Annual Independent Music Awards.
In October 2011, "Gamechanger" was nominated in the "Album électronique de l'année" at l'ADISQ.
