Addison Rae Easterling (born October 6, 2000), colloquially known as Addison Rae on TikTok, is an American social media personality and dancer. As of June 22, 2020, she has accumulated more than 2 billion likes and 46 million followers on TikTok, ranking as the second most-followed individual on the platform.
Career
Easterling started dancing competitively at the age of 6 where she attended competitions across the country. She joined TikTok in July 2019, uploading dance videos to trending songs on the platform. She has been part of the TikTok collaborative group The Hype House since December 2019 when it was formed. In January 2020, Easterling and her parents signed with talent agency WME.
In March 2020, Australian rapper The Kid Laroi wrote a song named after the TikTok star.
Personal life
Easterling grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana. Her parents are Monty Lopez and Sheri Easterling. Easterling's parents also have their own TikTok accounts. As of June 2020 her mother, Sheri has over 7.7 million followers, whilst her father, Monty has over 2.5 million followers. She has two younger brothers named Enzo and Lucas. Before moving to Los Angeles in December 2019 to pursue TikTok, the dancer briefly attended Louisiana State University where she studied sports broadcasting. Easterling had originally planned to become a sports activities broadcaster.
